#71: 5 Lessons From a Year Inside My Mastermind Group

Sometimes the most powerful shifts in business come from saying yes before you feel ready. A year ago, I joined a mastermind that I was both excited and terrified to be part of - and it has been so powerful for my business. In this episode, I’m opening up about what I’ve learned from being part of this small but mighty group of amazing business owners who have become a key part of my journey.
Over the past year, this mastermind has taught me so much about connection, collaboration, and courage. From the initial nerves of wondering if I belonged, to discovering how much each of us had to contribute, I’ve learned that real growth often happens when we allow ourselves to be seen - imperfectly and fully.
In this conversation, I’m sharing the five biggest lessons I’ve taken from this experience - from following unexpected opportunities, to embracing vulnerability, and celebrating the unique “zone of magic” that each of us brings to the table.
🎧 Tune in to hear:
- The unexpected path that led me to this mastermind
- How imposter syndrome showed up (and what helped me move through it)
- The beauty of small, intentional groups
- Why action beats perfection every time
- How collaboration always expands what’s possible
💭 [3:32] "Oh, my goodness, did I get imposter syndrome? Like I thought, do I belong in this mastermind? Am I good enough? Is my business good enough? Am I, you know, making enough money? Am I doing the right things? Do I have anything valuable to add? I was so nervous, but I knew that it was a really great opportunity for me."
💭 [10:35] "It's so powerful to collaborate with the people who do similar things to us instead of seeing them as competition."
💭 [12:35] "Making sure we are all committed to showing up to most of the calls, all of that stuff is what makes it work, but also leaning in and being willing to be a bit vulnerable and sometimes not feeling good enough, but actually having a supportive group of people who shows you that that you are good enough."
